The VOCES8 Scholars Ensemble will appear at the 2026 La Rioja Festival on 23 May with a concert at the spectacular Monastery of Valvanera in Anguiano. Presented as part of the festival’s internationally focused programme, the performance will showcase the next generation of young professional singers emerging from the renowned VOCES8 Foundation. The ensemble’s programme, All Seems Beautiful, moves from Renaissance polyphony to contemporary choral works and close-harmony arrangements, reflecting the group’s versatility and vocal refinement. Set in the dramatic landscape of La Rioja, the concert promises to be one of the festival’s most atmospheric musical experiences.
On 29 May the historic Théâtre Romain de Fréjus will feature the Ensemble under the guidance of Paul Smith, at the “Sacrée Musique” festival with a programme ranging from Palestrina to the music of James Bond.
A distinctive part of the event is the participation of school students from Fréjus who have taken part in the Sing’In educational programme during the year, highlighting the educational mission that has become central to the VOCES8 Foundation’s work across the world.
