American soprano Virginia Taylor Grabovsky has been announced as the newest member of VOCES8, joining the Grammy-nominated British ensemble in July 2026. Grabovsky, a student at Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory, impressed the group during spring auditions and will replace departing soprano Eleonora Poignant.
Artistic director Barnaby Smith praised her “beauty, honesty, and innate musicianship,” calling her voice “unmistakably special.” Grabovsky said joining VOCES8 had been a lifelong dream since her early years as a chorister. She will debut with the ensemble in Québec, Canada, before appearing across the world in seasons to come.
