US ensemble Lyyra has released its new video, sharing their thought-provoking cover of Paul Simon’s ‘America’, arranged for the group by Blake Morgan.
“In hearing the tale of these hitchhikers across America, we can see ourselves and our own relationship to this nation, and Blake Morgan’s creative harmonic approach elevates the beautiful melody in a truly special way.” – Elizabeth Tait, Soprano
The video was edited and produced by Blake Morgan, and shares snapshots of a Lyyra tour to capture life on the road across the country. The track appears on Lyyra’s recent album ‘Rising’, recorded under Warner Classics. Listen to the track on Spotify!
