We’re delighted to welcome Kristina Arakelyan to the roster of composers at Podium Music.
The Armenian-British composer, pianist and educator, Kristina is celebrated for the emotional honesty of her music and its distinctive sense of colour. Writing across choral, orchestral, chamber, and solo repertoire, her works have been performed at some of the world’s leading venues, including Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, the Southbank Centre, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Symphony Hall Birmingham.
Her growing discography includes the acclaimed albums Dreamland and A Christmas Offering, while her compositions also feature on recordings by Anna Lapwood, the Pembroke College Girls’ Choir, and the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain.
The coming months promise to be an exciting time for Kristina’s music. The Jess Gillam Trio will be performing her arrangement of Il Postino by Luis Bacalov, while later this year Kantorei will give the world premiere of a newly commissioned work under the direction of Joel Rinsema.
