Jason Max Ferdinand Singers debut at the BBC Proms 2024

Having shot to prominence in the choral scene in the USA the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers will make their UK debut on September 7th at the BBC Proms in an afternoon concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

The dynamic Jason Max Ferdinand Singers has appeared at Washington DC’s Kennedy Center and collaborated with Coldplay and Jacob Collier, who has described the experience as ‘transformative to a life-altering degree’. Making its UK debut, these powerful voices present an uplifting matinee, mixing classical, jazz and gospel, includes the jazz standard ‘Misty’ and Jacob Collier’s harmonically shapeshifting ‘World O World’ as well as Roderick Williams‘s ‘Lord’s Prayer’.

Earlier in the day Jason Max Ferdinand, pianist John Stoddart and singer Cedric Dent will lead a Come & Sing workshop where participants will explore classical, jazz and gospel choral music, including music the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers will perform at its Prom. This free session is held in the Royal College of Music.

To end the day the Jason Max Ferdinand Singers will take part in the Choral Day’s performance of Handel’s Messiah featuring a diverse mix of choirs, the Academy of Ancient Music and conductor John Butt.
